Book Recommendation: Practicing Thankfulness: Cultivating a grateful heart in all circumstances by Sam Crabtree

This is a book that has been a great help for me personally, as naturally my heart gravitates towards grumbling instead of being grateful.
I tend to see the cup as half-empty instead of half-full.
Sam Crabtree has done a great job with arguing from scriptures that reasons to thank God are all around us, and both the positive and negative effects of having a grateful heart.
My mind has been renewed by this brief book, knowing that God wills that we give thanks not only in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:18), but also for everything, even the bad circumstances in our lives (Ephesians 5:20), knowing that God works in all things for our good (Romans 8:28).
When we practice thankfulness in all circumstances, by the power of the Spirit, who knows God might open a way for our unbelieving friends / families to question the hope that we have in Christ?
The second last chapter of the book contains practical questions and answers on the subject of thankful heart, such as “What should I do with poor quality customer service?”.
I love how the book ends with a chapter on 100 practical ways to be thankful.
I’d love to share some of my favourite quotations in the book:
“Every time we feel satisfied with what we have, we can be counted as rich, however little we may actually possess”. (Alain de Botton)
“We’re wise to learn to be grateful when He sets aside our finite plans and works relentlessly for our good, even through adversity. “ (Sam Crabtree)
